
Our History
Diagnostrix is a Femtech joint venture of Oratel Diagnostics (USA) & Biolink Group (Norway), committed to improving lives of girls and women around the world. The areas of business in Biolink Group AS are Biotech R&D within Life Science and Sustainable Environment.
Diagnostrix was established in 2020, with a main goal to create access to early diagnosis for Endometriosis. A disease affecting quality of life of more than 10% of all the women in reproductive age worldwide. The spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation and caring for lives that our founders have in common, defines our culture, our business and our contributions to medical innovation.
Biolink Group was founded by Sjur Svaboe in Sandnes, Norway in 1999. Whose experience in biotech industry traces its roots back to more than 40 years, with a strong history of providing innovative products to patients worldwide. Among other things, he developed a patented diagnostic system “Nycocard” for cardiovascular disease and diabetes, which is currently installed in over 35,000 doctor’s offices around the world. The unique technology is affordable for low resource countries. During the last 20 years Biolink Group has become a world leader within applications utilizing anthocyanins.
Biolink Group has continued to expand through manufacturing, research and development, and partnerships across various global markets. After many years of successful partnership the group formed a joint venture with Oratel Diagnositcs, based in New York, USA. The area of expertise of Oratel Diagnostics was to develop cost effective, diagnostic tests for reproductive health issues. Founded by Dorothee Goldman, the company has made several discoveries and established a hypothesis about endometriosis diagnostic, which is now being developed into a technology by Diagnostrix.

Our team’s strength lies in its diverse expertise, ranging from medical professionals to financiers, technologists and biochemists. Operating cohesively, we strive to facilitate business growth and achieveour strategic aims. With a global presence spanning from the US to Norway, we leverage our geographical diversity to cultivate valuable business connections and collaborations with companies and organizations in both countries, enhancing our ability to develop and deliver impactful solution. Each team member possesses an excellent track record, marked by successful projects within their respective domain. Our shared commitment unites us with a singular aim—to improve the lives of women worldwide by providing early diagnosis for endometriosis.

Dorothee Goldman holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Oregon. She is a Co-Founder and the inventor of four issued patents related to diagnosing fertility issues, including endometriosis. With over 20 years of experience in research and pigment chemistry, she has established a strong background in her field.

Kristian Larsen is the CEO, Founder, and Board member of Biolink Group AS, bringing with him 20+ years of experience in business establishment and development.

Mariana Tokvi Eiane, M.D., M.H.Sc. brings a distinguished background in healthcare management, complemented by extensive experience in both the pharmaceutical and hospital industry. Currently, she serves as the Research and Development Director.

Einar Bakstad holds a PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from the University of Tromsø and a Post Doc from the Free University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Stavanger, Norway, and has supervised over 20 Bachelor/Master/PhD students. Einar actively participates in various projects, including the total synthesis and upscaling of anthocyanins. Notably, he has presented on the chemistry and biology of anthocyanins at esteemed institutions such as the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, Rovira in Spain, and the University of Basel in Switzerland.

Linn Kathrine Sagerup an economist from Norwegian Management School, boasts over a decade of
dedicated service within the Biolonk group companies. Her expertise shines in conducting meticulous financial analyses, insightful forecasts, and comprehensive reporting.

Craig Laramee holds a PhD in Bioengineering and Data Analysis, with over 20 years of experience in statistical analysis and data science. His extensive expertise encompasses roles in academia and the business sector. Dr. Laramee’s primary responsibilities include the design and construction of image readers.

Kåre Svaboe holds a master’s degree in Finance from the Norwegian School of Management and Simon University of Rochester, USA. He is the CEO of Biolink Group, actively involved in the daily operations of Diagnostrix and plays a pivotal role in shaping business plans and contributing to strategic initiatives.
